PENSION FUNDS may be granted more flexibility in funding retirement income, the Minister for Social Protection said yesterday.
Addressing
the Irish Association of Pension Funds’ annual conference, Éamon Ó Cuív
said the proposal was receiving “thorough consideration” by his
department, although no decision has yet been made.
The Irish
Association of Pension Funds and the Society of Actuaries in Ireland
have been lobbying Government to allow the use of sovereign annuities –
essentially availing of higher interest rates of Irish government bonds
to reduce the overall cost of providing pensions to retired private
sector workers.
At present, pension funds are obliged to use only
the return on long-term German government debt in calculating their
adherence to the minimum funding standard

Dropbox is a consumer product that is roughly equivalent to an external hard drive in the cloud. To approach it differently is absurd. If you want your files protected treat them the same way you would if you put them on an external hd (i.e. Encrypt them).

People won’t just stop using email. What we need to do is help educate subscribers so they don’t fall victim to scams. We need to make sure the email systems we use are keeping up with the latest security procedures.

This guy says that uploading large files could take a couple minutes - as if that's a bad thing? I have FIOS at home and can upload gigantic things very quickly, but you HAVE to assume it will take a few minutes at times. Not really clear on what his complaint is. You have to wait a couple minutes to fill your gas tank - this world has limitations.
