Did you know that over 60% of data moving through your organization is batch and flat file based?

Or that Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions impact a much larger data set than any other form of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)?

These are just two of the many reasons why MFT is not only the ideal technology option for EAI, but also the most successful form of application integration (and I promise, it’s not just because MFT is faster to deploy and results in the quickest ROI) .

Register now to attend our upcoming “MFT, EAI and the Cloud – Keeping Control of Your Data” webcast to learn more about the connection between MFT and EAI, and why MFT should be a critical part of not only your IT infrastructure but also a critical part of your SOA platform and enterprise nervous system.

Does your organization continue to struggle with outmoded file transfer infrastructure?

Point solutions – often deployed over time to address urgent tactical problems, or accumulated through M&A activity – proliferate under the radar, ultimately resulting in significant cost, risk and exposure to the enterprise.  This solution ‘sprawl’ can result in data loss, security breaches, SLA violations and loss of customer confidence.  Faced with those challenges, more and more IT executives are looking to strategically consolidate their file transmission environments to regain control over this critical business function.

In only 20 minutes you can watch Frank Kenney’s webcast on File Transfer Consolidation and learn more about:

  • Pitfalls of relying on multiple tactical solutions for internal and external file transfers, transformation, B2B and scripts
  • Benefits of consolidating all the different ways that data flows in and out of your organization
  • How to regain control of all file transfers — visibility into what is being sent is critical
  • Tips on file transfer consolidation that will lower your overall IT costs and centrally enforce policies to assure security and compliance

We’ve been blogging a lot lately about how organizations must provide their employees with a safe and convenient way to quickly send files to other people.

How many of you actually provide your employees with a simple tool for securely sharing large, confidential and business-critical files?  Policy creation and enforcement is not enough…. And if the process hampers worker productivity, employees will be forced to rely on risky alternatives including personal email and remote devices.

But how do you actually accomplish that?  And what else should you consider???

Please join tomorrow’s live webinar where Ipswitch’s Frank Kenney and HANDD’s Mark Allen will discuss how to keep data secure while enabling employee productivity and delivering organizational visibility, management, auditability, policy creation and enforcement controls.

Webinar details:

  • Speakers:  L. Frank Kenney, VP of Global Strategy at Ipswitch and Mark Allen, Managed File Transfer Consultant at HANDD
  • Date: Wednesday, September 8th, 2010
  • Time: 9:00am ET  / 14:00 Western European Summer Time

Webcast: Managed File Transfer: Directions for the Coming Year

Date: Jul 20, 2010

Time: 1:00 p.m. Eastern / 10:00 a.m. Pacific (60 minutes)

In today’s mobile environment and still-challenging economy, managed file transfer (MFT) is one service area that smart IT organizations are increasingly turning to as the businesses they support become more complex and dispersed, data volume increases, and existing infrastructure is pushed to its limits. Leading MFT solutions offer highest levels of security, compliance, reliability, speed, and trackability – without placing the burden of maintaining all of these mission-critical areas on the backs of already stretched-thin and shrinking IT staff.

We’re partnering with the editors of Ziff Davis Enterprise to invite you to join us in participating in this informative editorial-driven eSeminar, where we’ll have a frank and open discussion with leading MFT solutions providers about the latest trends, advances, and benefits of MFT offerings, and what to expect in the year ahead. Topics of discussion will include:

  • Real-world integration considerations
  • How to maximize operational efficiencies
  • MFT service and delivery methodologies
  • Built-in authentication and encryption technologies
  • Ease of use and end-user experience
  • And more!

Frank Kenney, VP of Global Strategy, Ipswitch File Transfer

Data loss is a growing risk, especially as professional consumers–prosumers–bring more and more of their personal technology into the workplace.

In fact, Ipswitch’s recent survey uncovered that over 90% of IT and security executives admitted to using thumb drives and other external devices to move data. And, nearly 70% said that they have no visibility into file outside of their organization.

Frank Kenney, former Research Director at Gartner and current VP of Global Strategy at Ipswitch File Transfer, will discuss keeping data secure with managed file transfer and the importance of enabling employee productivity through ad hoc, person-to-person file transfer in part one of our new Managed File Transfer Webcast Series, “Keeping Your Data Secure and Your Employees Productive.”
